ADIB Egypt Staff shares at “Giving day”…from the bottom of the heart

Community service has become one of the annual traditions followed each year during the holy month of Ramadan by the bank’s Employees. On Friday 10/8/2012 a number of colleagues volunteered with their time and effort to fill up Food boxes for submission to families in need and living under the poverty line this is in cooperation with the foundation of Egyptian Food Bank.

Participating Colleagues gathered at the Egyptian Food Bank Premises at Road Al Farag and worked hard for about 5 hours resulting in the packaging of 800 Food boxes that were filled with Food supplies such as sugar, tea, salt, rice, pasta ,Brown beans, oil and tomato paste … each box would suffice a family's' need for 15days.

The cooperation spirit and harmony in the workplace between participants was dominant , where everybody was keen to work actively and persistently to succeed in filling the largest number of Food Boxes during the day.

ADIB Egypt is a firm believer in the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and in the idea that a company must be a positive influence in the community in which it operates.

This commitment has been part of the bank's focus since the first days of its restructuring as a Shari'a-compliant bank, and ADIB Egypt has participated in a number of CSR initiatives over the last year.

Children's Cancer Hospital

ADIB Egypt has donated an intensive care unit (ICU)to the Children's Cancer hospital 57357, dedicated to the care of children affected by cancer and needing special care. As well as donating the ICU to the hospital, ADIB Egypt has also opened up a bank account allowing the Egyptian public to give donations to the hospital and help in its very important work.

The mission of the Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 is to cure and to improve the quality of life for all children with cancer. Built around a solid core of ethics, and with the mission and vision to achieve this momentous task, the hospital has provided vital aid and medical help to thousands of patients since its opening in July 2007.

Charitable Donation Accounts

ADIB Egypt has partnered with 13 separate charitable organizations, and opened accounts through which the general public can donate to these organizations and help those in need.

Available through any of the bank's 70 branches nationwide, ADIB Egypt employees have been trained in order to assist any of the public wishing to donate and the bank has launched an awareness campaign and printed brochures, flyers and posters in order to publicize these accounts and gain the support of the public.
